Your Right to Data Deletion

TownWebsite respects your right to control your personal data. You can request that we delete any personal information we have collected about you, including data received through third-party platforms such as Facebook.

Facebook App Users

If you have interacted with TownWebsite through Facebook, we may have received basic profile information (such as your name and email address) as authorized by your Facebook privacy settings. To delete this data:

  1. Remove the app from Facebook: Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites and remove TownWebsite from your connected apps.
  2. Submit a deletion request: Use the contact form below to request that we delete any data associated with your Facebook account.

We will process your deletion request within 30 days and confirm completion via email.

What Data We Delete

Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will permanently remove:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Email address and any account credentials
  • Profile information received from third-party platforms
  • Any other personally identifiable information associated with your account

Certain data may be retained if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention). We will notify you if any data cannot be deleted and explain the reason.

How to Request Data Deletion

To request deletion of your personal data, please use one of the following methods:

Option 1: Contact Form

Visit our contact page and submit a request with the subject "Data Deletion Request." Include the email address associated with your account so we can locate your records.

Option 2: Email

Send an email to infotownwebsitecom with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include your name and the email address you used with our service.

Processing Timeline

  • We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
  • Data deletion will be completed within 30 days of the request.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.

Municipal Website Residents

If you created an account on a municipal website powered by TownWebsite (for example, a citizen portal for a specific town), your data is managed by that municipality. Please contact the town office directly to request deletion of your resident account data.
